Deborah Awyzio wins the ‘Babes in Business’ award for Achievement!
This award recognises the female businesswoman who has made their mark on Brisbane in 2013.
‘Babes in Business’ was set up to better help women connect and network with other women, grow professionally, learn and enjoy themselves. Every year an annual lunch is held which brings hundreds of Brisbane’s top business women together. This event has been running for 13 years and this year Deborah Awyzio from DA Family Lawyers in Brisbane was lucky enough to win the award.
Babes in Business says that “the term Babe reflects the sassy, vibrant attitude…Being a Babe is also about having a sense of fun while still achieving in your chosen profession and industry.”
This award celebrates the female businesswoman that has achieved astounding success this year in career development for themselves and their business.
Deborah was nominated because of her profound ability to remain calm and positive: as well as being the principal lawyer at DA Family Lawyers, she works in the community by serving as a Judiciary member for the Brisbane Women’s Hockey Association, she is the immediate past president of the Family Law Practitioners Association (Queensland) and is currently the Vice President of the Queensland Law Society for 2014.
She is also a great employer who is able to juggle her many professional and business achievements while being a mother to five children.
